HBO has released the trailer for The Slightest Touch, a documentary following Irish actor Colin Farrell and his longtime friend Emma Fogarty as they take on a challenge far removed from a film set. The film premieres in the United States on 25 November.

Fogarty lives with epidermolysis bullosa, a rare condition that leaves her skin vulnerable to blistering and tearing. Directed by Bama Rush filmmaker Rachel Fleit, the documentary looks at the life Fogarty has built, the daily pain she manages and the friendship that has shaped both her and Farrell.

At its centre is a very specific birthday plan. To mark Fogarty turning 40, the pair set out to complete the Dublin Marathon together, with Farrell pushing her wheelchair for the final four kilometres. Each kilometre represents a decade of her life.

The finish line is only part of the story. Fleit also follows Fogarty’s everyday experiences and changing ambitions, while Farrell reflects on his own struggles and what their friendship has meant to him. Fogarty’s family also takes part.

The Slightest Touch airs on HBO at 9pm ET/PT on 25 November and will stream on HBO Max in the US.
