A honeymoon becomes another family emergency in The Assassin’s second season, arriving on Stan in Australia on 6 November. The streamer has released a new trailer and confirmed that all six episodes will be available at once.
Keeley Hawes returns as hitwoman Julie, reluctantly reunited with her son Edward, played by Freddie Highmore. A new threat disrupts Edward’s honeymoon with Kayla, sending the uneasy mother-and-son partnership into Spain’s criminal underworld.
Shalom Brune-Franklin returns as Kayla, with Devon Terrell also back. Natalia Tena and Arnaud Binard join the cast as the story adds kidnapping and car chases to the family’s already considerable problems.
Harry and Jack Williams write the series, which Two Brothers Pictures produces for Stan, Prime Video in the UK and ZDF in Germany. The season filmed in Malta, with Terry McDonough directing its first three episodes and Sarah O’Gorman the final three. The two lead actors, Hawes and Highmore, also serve as executive producers.
