Black Snow will return to Stan on January 1, 2027, with two episodes and a complication no detective would choose: James Cormack’s own brother is the accused.

Travis Fimmel is back as the Australian crime drama’s cold-case investigator. His long-lost brother Ritchie, played by George Mason, faces trial for the 1999 murder of his best friend, Liam Knox.

This time, the mystery takes the series to tropical Far North Queensland, where Liam’s family runs a charter boat business. It is a considerable change of scenery from season two’s fictional Moorevale, but Cormack has more pressing concerns than the view.

Boy Swallows Universe’s Lee Tiger Halley joins the cast alongside Caroline Craig, Aaron Jeffery and Charmaine Bingwa. Rose Riley returns as Jade.

Fimmel also returns behind the camera, directing alongside Daniel Nettheim and Christiaan Van Vuuren. Creator Lucas Taylor and writer Beatrix Christian are back for the Goalpost Pictures production, filmed in Cairns and the surrounding region.

The January premiere is for Australia. AMC Global Media is the series’ US home, but an American release date was not included in the announcement.
