An unnerving Stephen Graham, a restored cinema provocation and another round of society warfare: the week of 26 October–1 November offers three very different ways to spend an evening. Here is what is arriving, and where.
Nocturne starts globally on Apple TV on Friday, 30 October, including Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, the US and Canada. Liev Schreiber plays a detective seeking a quieter life until a serial killer, played by Graham, threatens his family. Zazie Beetz plays the FBI agent drawn into the search for a missing victim. Two episodes launch together, followed by one each Friday through Christmas Day.
For UK and Irish cinemagoers, Ken Russell’s The Devils returns on 30 October in its definitive 4K restoration. Oliver Reed and Vanessa Redgrave star in the story of a priest accused of bewitching a convent, released by BFI Distribution with Warner Bros. Clockwork.
In the US, The Gilded Age begins its fourth season on HBO Max on Sunday, 1 November. Carrie Coon and Christine Baranski return to the battle over money, reputation and influence, with eight episodes rolling out weekly.
