Netflix has released the trailer for Heartland, the Shana Feste film starring Jessica Chastain as a former country music star investigating her niece’s disappearance. The trailer arrived on 6 October, ahead of the film’s Netflix release on 13 November 2026.

Chastain plays Misty Jones, who returns to Nashville after 20 years away. Her niece, Charlie Heart, has built a country career of her own and vanished at the age of 22, drawing Misty back into an industry she left behind.

Carter Faith plays Charlie. Misty’s search takes her to Charlie’s boyfriend Jace, played by Ross Lynch, and manager Roy Combs, played by Garrett Hedlund. Jennifer Nettles appears as fellow singer Winnie Jo Lean.

Feste previously directed Country Strong, the 2010 Nashville-set drama starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim McGraw and Hedlund. Heartland returns her to that setting with a mystery built around Misty’s investigation. Chastain performs her own vocals, while Faith recorded new material for the film.
