Macaulay Culkin’s Australian tour of Home Alone screenings and live interviews has been cancelled because of a scheduling conflict, with refunds to be issued to ticket holders.
The actor, who played Kevin McCallister in the Christmas comedy, had been due at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on November 24, Melbourne’s Regent Theatre on November 27 and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on November 29 and 30.
Each event was to pair a screening of the film with a moderated conversation about Culkin’s experiences making it. The cancellation was confirmed by his representatives to Variety Australia on Friday, October 30.
Ticketek says customers for the Enmore dates will receive full refunds automatically to their original payment method, including relevant VIP upgrades and other extras purchased with their tickets. They do not need to take action.
Marriner Group has also confirmed the Melbourne cancellation and says customers have been emailed further details. Ticket holders should check messages from their original seller for information about their booking.
