Siân Brooke’s Belfast police team faces trouble on both sides of the law in the new trailer for Blue Lights season four, released on 27 October ahead of BritBox’s North American weekly run in November.
Grace Ellis, Tommy Foster and Annie Conlon are three years into their response-policing careers and already working at their limits. The six-part season confronts them with a street threat the police can barely contain, while decisions about their futures become harder to put off.
A trial threatens to unravel more than one case. A long-buried secret sends repercussions through the force and the criminal underworld, putting the officers’ search for the truth at the centre of the drama.
Richard Dormer returns as Gerry in an episode looking back into the past. Brooke is again joined by Nathan Braniff, Katherine Devlin and Martin McCann, with creators Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson returning as writers.
BritBox’s previously announced weekly schedule runs from 12 November to 17 December. The first three seasons are already on the service, offering North American viewers time to catch up with the team before the new episodes arrive.
