Georgia Juvelis will leave AMC Global Media at the end of 2026, closing a 19-year run that began as the company was becoming a home for television’s biggest dramas.

The chief communications officer’s departure was reported on 26 October. AMC will not replace the role, instead moving communications responsibilities into the individual businesses they support. The structure is already used in its international markets.

Juvelis joined in 2007 and became chief communications officer in 2023. Her work spanned AMC’s 2011 public spin-off, the launch of AMC Studios and its streaming expansion through services including AMC+, Acorn TV and Shudder. She also helped shape communications around Mad Men, Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead.

In a farewell note to colleagues, she described the company’s people as its “true superpower”. CEO Kristin Dolan thanked her for helping guide communications through important moments in AMC’s history.

Before joining AMC, Juvelis held communications roles at TV Guide and Discovery and ran her own public-relations firm.
