Chase Sui Wonders is in talks to join Goblin, A24’s new film with Kenneth Branagh voicing its title creature. The Studio actor would join Skyler Gisondo and Will Forte in director David Mikalson’s project, which Deadline reports is preparing to shoot before the end of 2026.

Her character is being kept under wraps. The family arrangement at the centre of the film is rather less conventional than an inheritance dispute.

Speaking on A24’s podcast in September, Gisondo described a man learning that his family has possessed a medieval Italian goblin for a thousand years. The creature can make their dreams come true, provided they fulfil its request. Responsibility for keeping that bargain now falls to the son.

Branagh supplies the voice, but this is not simply an actor performing opposite an empty space. Gisondo said the creature would be a practical puppet requiring around 12 puppeteers at times. That is a considerable entourage for one scene partner.

Wonders’ involvement remains at the negotiation stage. If the deal closes, she will be stepping from The Studio’s Hollywood absurdity into a family business with an unusually demanding asset.
