John Bishop is taking over the London Coliseum, and bringing company. Sky has commissioned John Bishop’s Comedy Night at the Coliseum, a three-part stand-up showcase mixing established names with breakthrough acts and emerging comedians.

The series will record in front of a live audience this December before reaching Sky and NOW in early 2027. Each episode runs for 44 minutes, with Bishop hosting a hand-picked line-up drawn from across the comedy circuit.

“I want this series to celebrate all of it and reflect what’s happening out there right now,” Bishop said in Sky’s announcement.

It adds another stage to Sky’s growing comedy slate. The broadcaster says it has shown more than 30 stand-up specials over the past three years, alongside the launch of Saturday Night Live UK, whose cast includes Larry Dean, Paddy Young and Ania Magliano.

Drum Studios is producing the Coliseum series, with Chris Howe directing and Cameron Banks as showrunner. Bishop also executive produces through Lola TV.
