Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon are trading Mediterranean sunshine for Scandinavia, with dinner, conversation and the Northern Lights on the itinerary. Sky has released the teaser for The Trip to the Northern Lights, confirming that the comedy’s fifth series will arrive on Sky and NOW this December.
The six-part return reunites the pair with director Michael Winterbottom, six years after The Trip to Greece. The destination changes; the central attraction remains two very familiar travelling companions sharing meals and testing each other’s patience.
There is an earlier way to join them. Picturehouse cinemas will preview the first two episodes on Monday 30 November, followed by a Q&A. Tickets go on sale on Thursday 29 October, giving fans a chance to turn this particular television trip into an evening out.
Revolution Films, Baby Cow Productions and Small Man make the series with Sky Studios, with Coogan, Brydon and Winterbottom among the executive producers.
